Derik’s professional background is in public service however his passion is helping people gain self confidence through Jiu Jitsu.
competition
Derik competes regularly and his accomplishments include winning double gold (division and absolute) at the IBJJF Pans Gi competition at Blue Belt and being the 2021 IBJJF World Masters Champion at Purple Belt.
Roles
Derik assists with the kids program and is the instructor for the academy’s 6am class.
